Naive

Industrial Revolution Thadeus Acha Hour 5

Painting of a typical mill during the revolution

So innocent. America saw the opportunity to make life easier, and they grabbed it without stopping to think of the consequences. This picture shows just how naive they are. Look at how positive this image is; the bright summer sky and the people oblivious to all the destruction and chaos they have caused. In several pictures we see that the industrial revolution brought about child labor, harsh working conditions, and pollution upon other things. Yet does the revolution end? No, why would you end something so positive in the lives of the American people? Their  judgments were clouded with the pros of industrialization, which in the end, was less than the cons. Yes, these were a very naive people and yet no one bothered to make a change.
