This is a picture of the Vega star.

The Vega Star (also know as Alphae Lyrae) is 25.05 light years away from the Earth. The Vega Star is a whitish-blue color. The luminosity of this star is approximately 40 times the sun's luminosity. Vega is estimated to have surface temperatures of around 9,500C (17,000F), which is almost as twice as hot as the sun! The star is around 500 million years old.

The Vega Star is in the Lyra constellation. It's an A Class white main sequence star. The rotation period of Vega is 12.5 hours long. This star is actually HUGE! The star's radius is around 1.1 million miles (1.8 million km), which is around 2.5 times the size of our sun. And it's mass is 2.1 times as large as the sun.
