Year 5 ,students from 10 to 11.
To know the different important facts of the of the UE.
They have to know how the evolution of the European Union since today.
That have to know the different countries that composed the European Union.
They have to have a minimun knowledge about the characteristic of each country.
Creating: Planning, each group has to organize themself with five differents roles.
Evaluating: collaborating, reviewing, they have to review the questions that they have prepare for the last activity.
Analysing:Organising, comparing, they have to compare their work with the other work’s group.
Appliying:Testing, they have to apply their knowledge in the exposition.
1.Division of the class in 5 groups. Assignation of 5 countries peer group.
2.Each group has to carry out the treasure hunt, in order to create a padlet with information about the correspondents countries . The groups have to share their padlets with the class and with the teacher who is going to evaluate them. For this activity the members of the group have to organise themselfs and distribute the work .
3.Each group, in a collaborative way, have to create a timeline with a new app. Dipity. Then they to choose 7 important facts of the Europan Union.
4. In class, each group will expose the important facts choseen. The groups have to take note about the important facts that the other groups have and they not.
5. They are going to apply this information in a new application Spreaker. And share it with the teacher who is going to evaluate them.
6. The teacher will explain the last game. Using the information of padlet, and spreaker they have to elaborate 26 questions peer group, one question peer one letter of the abc.
7. Then they have to share the questions with the other groups, which have to review the questions and share them with the class.
8 Play the final game.
In the 1st session, the teacher will explain the children what the work will be on the next days, what we want them to learn and the way we want them to do it. That is, the main issue, which is the European Union and who they are going to learn is using ICT. Then, the class is going to be divided into five groups, of five members each. Each group will be assigned 5 countries ramdomly with which they will have to work in the next sessions. With the three countries left of the European Union, the teacher will ask for volunteers, those will be rewarded on the final game.
In the 2nd session, each group will have to carry out a treasure hunt, the teacher will five the students some links with information to be asked by the teacher about the corresponding countries which compose the European Union, in order to create a padlet. In this application they have to put 5 characteristics of the countries they have been assigned which are: capital, location, mores, limitations and language.
In the 3rd session, the groups will have to share the padlets completed during the previous session, with the class and with the teacher who is going to evaluate them. For this activity the members of the group have to organise themselves and distribute the work.
In the 4th session, each group, in a collaborative way, will have to create a timeline with the 30 most important facts about the evolution of the European Union since it was created until today. The timeline must be created using a new app, Dipity.
In the 5th session, from the timeline done on the previous session, they have to analyze the information because, afterwards, each group will have to choose the 7 that they consider the most important facts of the European Union.
In the 6th session, in class, each group will expose the important facts that they have chosen. The groups will have to put attention and collaborate taking notes about the important facts that the other groups have chosen and that they hadn’t.
In the 7th session, they are going to use a new application called Spreaker, where they have to record all the new information learnt about the facts during the previous session.
In the 8th session, the groups will share all the Spreakers with the others and also with the teacher who is going to evaluate them.
In the 9th session, the teacher will explain the final game which consists on using the information of padlet, the timeline and spreaker, create questions for playing the final game based on the Spanish one known as “Pasapalabra”.
In the 10th session, they will have to elaborate 27 questions per group, each answer must start with each of the letters of the alphabet.
In the 11th session, they will have to share the questions done during the previous session with the other groups, all the questions will be put all together and reviewed.
In the 12th session, all the questions will be divided into five groups, the star of each group will have to answer the questions. Once everything is organised they will play the final game, “Pasapalabra”. This game consists on answering correctly as many questions as posible with the target of being the one that have more answers correct in order to win a prize.
The objective is to complete a donut or roulette answering some definitions given by a word.
We started the game by clicking on the following button. The first test begins on the letter "A". Then you have to answer with a word that begins with that letter and that matches the given DEFINITION.
It is necessary to note the spelling. So should be fine accents and diéreseis if any. If the word is correct change color the letter "A" and move on to the "B" where the same dynamic is repeated. Need for the activity: Being in an area of primary subjects do not have a fixed timetable, there is no specific time tutoring so you should select hours. The first resource is time.
Also need a classroom equipped with computers and tablets at least one from each group and internet.
