Issue Presented in the documentary affecting Contemporary Society
The issue presented in the documentary Super size me that is affecting contemporary society is obesity and how it is becoming an epidemic of the world. There is almost 30% of people globally either obese or overweight which is a staggering 2.1 billion people in total.
Most people don’t know what being obese does to you so here is what it does. Being obese brings health problems like coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer, liver problems and the list goes on.
The reason why so many people are obese is because they eat fast food. In their eyes fast food is cheap and fast but really they don’t know what’s being put into these foods. Who would have thought that 1 Big Mac burger from McDonalds would have almost 1 tonne of sugar in it now that is sure to make you sick.
Society doesn’t understand that places like McDonald’s and Hungry Jacks are just trying to make money Because they don’t care if you eat their food and you get really sick all they want is the money so they’ll do anything to get it like make you supersize it for 60c.
We need to stop this epidemic so join me and help stop obesity!!!
