Short Story: Setting and Description
Write a 3-5 page narrative in which you use the setting with purpose. Use descriptive detail to set the mood, use it symbolically, or use it to advance the plot. Use spatial description, sensory description, and figurative language to create rich imagery, but be careful not to weigh the reader down with boring detail. Once you finish, highlight one example of each type of detail: spatial, sensory, and figurative language.
