Kinetic and Potential Energy
Ellie Reece

Kinetic Energy is when energy that a body has by being in motion.

An example of Kinetic Energy is flinging a rubber band from your finger.  This is Kinetic Energy because the rubber band is propelling forward, which is a form of motion.

Potential Energy is when the energy of objects are not in use yet.

An example of Potential Energy is when a rubber band is stretched and waiting to be released.  This is Potential Energy because the rubber band has not yet been released so it is not in motion.
