News from Komos' Kids in Room 423
What did we learn this week?
We studied author's purpose and worked more with our questioning skills. We now know that sensory images are words and phrases authors use to help bring a story to life by tapping in to our five senses. We also learned about imperative and exclamatory sentences. Check out our Padlet wall with our practice sentences!
We started working with place value and many names for numbers. We had the best math lesson EVER on Friday because we got to eat Skittles as we learned about data points and figuring out mean, median, and mode.
Be sure to ask your 4th grader about the ROK cards we've started to collect. This will be an ongoing project throughout the year!
