The Third #Amendment

Grant Kelly

No soldier shall in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be described by law. The third amendment was proposed because of the quartering act that the British imposed. During the American Revolution the British imposed the quartering act which meant that a soldier could come demand to stay in your house and you would have to cater to him and make room. The reason they had to have it was because they didn't want to have their soldiers just come and demand to stay,
because that would make the people mad. The third amendment was ratified on December 15th, 1791. However there have been no changes to the third amendment.
