The chart above is actually an Organisation Chart. Many businesses use this a lot as it is helpful and it shows who to go to if you need to speak to someone. An organisation is a chart is a diagram illustrating the roles and relationships with an organisation. Below are the different levels of an organisation and how they work.
Subordinate - A person working at a junior level to someone else.
Hierarchy - A highly structured pattern of offices and posts involving a number of layers of command.
Organisation Level - Posts involving similar levels of power and authority.
Span of control - The number of people that a person manages or supervises.
Organisation - A system having an established structure in which people work and deal with one another in a co-ordinated and co-operative way to meet certain objectives.
Flat Organisation - An organisation with relatively few layers between the top and bottom.
Tall Organisation - An organisation with many different levels in a hierarchy.
