Alice Walker was the woman who were in many events that helped fight for the rights of women during the early 1900's. When Alice Walker attended the many movements, it affected the lives of blacks, whites, mexicans, and other minorities. The events that happened made a great change to Mrs. Alice Malsenior Walker. Alice is now known to be a hero around the world.

Womanism !

Womanisn does not need to be prefaced by term "Black", or "African American". The word automatically has something to do with African American women. A womanist is a woman who loves all women and likes women traditions and power. This movement was unique. It was unique because it involves honoring the African American women strengths and experiences.

Black Feminist !

One of the hypothesis that involved African American feminist was Alice Walker. Alice Walker and others pointed out that African American women experienced a different kind of tyranny from white women. Black Feminist argues that sexism, class oppression, and racism are inextricably bound together. The way these relate to each other is called intersectionality of feminism that strive to overcome sexism and oppression but ignore race can discriminate against many people, including women, through racial intolerance. Black feminist organizations had to overcome three different challenges that no other feminist organization had to face.

The Nation of Islam !

An event called "The Nation of Islam" stated , "goals to satisfy the spiritual, intellectual, festive, and management looks of African Americans in the U.S. The Nation of Islam also teaches morality and personal decorum, emphasizing modesty, mutual respect, and discipline in dress and comportment. They also refrain from premarital sex, as well as recreational sex while married, except for the sole purposes of producing children.

The Black Power Movement !

The Black Power Movement is a political slogan and name for many associates at achieving self-determination for people of African American. Blacks descent throughout the word. Through primarily by African Americans in the United States. In the late 1960's and early 1970's, racial pride and creation of African Americans political and traditions collective interest.

Black Art Movement !

The Black Arts Movement was on of the most important movements to the African Americans. The movement inspired a lot of black women to ratify their own businesses. The movement was triggered by the assassination of Malcom X. The Black Arts was important in African American history.

Alice Walker was involved in many movements. She was womanist who honored all African American women. The events and movements that she attended changed a lot of black women around the United States lives, and for that, she's considered one of the most important hero's in history.
