The Wakefield House
A mid-century Usonian home designed by students of Frank Lloyd Wright
Located in the Rush Creek community of Worthington, Ohio.
The house was built in 1954 by Richard and Martha Wakefield, who had studied under Frank Lloyd Wright. The Wakefields created a community called Rush Creek Village around the home, named after the creek that flows through the community and through the front yard of the house.
There many interesting and inventive geometric details throughout the house.
The house was recently sold by the Wakefield family and is about to undergo restoration by a new owner. A story in The Columbus Dispatch offers more detail.
