Dynasty Owner:  Week 6 Primer
Rankings to help set your lineups

In what feels like the most shootout-friendly matchup set of the entire season, week 6 appears to be full of potential shootouts and massive fantasy lines on the horizon.  The Thursday game already set the tone, with the Colts and Texans trading touchdowns and giving owners of Andrew Luck, Ty Hilton, Arian Foster and Andre Johnson, amongst others, a huge start to the week.

With only 2 teams on a bye, there aren't many owners who are scrambling for waiver wire fill-ins, but there will be quite a few tough decisions to make at the QB and WR position given how many enticing match ups there are.  This guide and Tier system will help break down who you should start for this week's match-ups.

Bye Weeks:  Chiefs, Saints

We love Foles This Week to Finally Break Out in a Big Way

Tier 1

1). Peyton Manning DEN at NYJ

2). Aaron Rodgers GB at MIA

3). Matt Ryan ATL vs. CHI:  All of the other QBs in the top 5 run the risk of being up big early in the game - except for Ryan.  Usually the top scoring QBs each week are in close shootouts where passing yards rack up quickly at the end of the game.  Ryan should be in a shootout with Chicago and that means Ryan should be a shoe-in for over 300 yards and a couple TDs.

4). Andrew Luck IND at HOU

5). Philip Rivers SD at OAK

6). Russell Wilson SEA vs. DAL

7). Jay Cutler CHI at ATL

8). Eli Manning NYG at PHI

9). Nick Foles PHI vs. NYG

10). Matthew Stafford DET at MIN

Tier 2

11). Ben Roethlisberger PIT at CLE

12). Colin Kaepernick SF at STL

13). Tom Brady NE at BUF

14). Joe Flacco BAL at TB

15). Cam Newton CAR at CIN

16). Andy Dalton CIN vs. CAR

17). Tony Romo DAL at SEA

18). Kirk Cousins WAS at ARI

Tier 3

19). Ryan Tannehill MIA vs. GB

20). Jake Locker TEN vs. JAC

21). Brian Hoyer CLE vs. PIT

22). Teddy Bridgewater MIN vs. DET

23). Austin Davis STL vs. SF

24). Blake Bortles JAC at TEN

25).  Carson Palmer ARI vs WAS

Forte is our top RB this week

Tier 1

1 Matt Forte CHI at ATL: In what is projected to be a shootout, Forte is one of the few backs who has just as much potential when his team is behind as he does when they are protecting a lead and leaning heavily on the rush.  He's capable of a 100 yard day rushing or receiving and possibly both - this could be his biggest game of the year.  Atlanta's Defense is terrible against run, and currently ranks 28th in the NFL and have already given up 10 rushing TDs, 3 more then the next closest team (7, IND).

2 Marshawn Lynch SEA vs. DAL

3 Arian Foster HOU vs. IND

4 Le'Veon Bell PIT at CLE

5 Giovani Bernard CIN vs. CAR

6 Andre Ellington ARI vs. WAS

7 LeSean McCoy PHI vs. NYG

8 DeMarco Murray DAL at SEA

Tier 2

9 Eddie Lacy GB at MIA: A report came out Friday that Coach McCarthy plans to split Lacy and James Starks carries 50/50.  This surprising development drops Lacy down to Tier 2, which is disappointing given how strong he looked last week against the Vikings.

10 Ben Tate CLE vs. PIT:  Many might be surprised to learn that the Browns are 4th in the league in rushing, particularly given the fact that they rely heavily on not just 2 but 3 Running backs in Tate, West, and UDFA Crowell.  All 3 backs have looked tremendous when given the call, so it's clear the Browns offensive line is playing at a dominant level.  Tate is the clear #1, particularly because West and Crowell struggle with pass protection schemes, so he's a great play this week against a decimated Steelers defense that gives up 4.5 yards per carry on the ground.

11 Justin Forsett BAL at TB

12 Branden Oliver SD at OAK

13 Frank Gore SF at STL

14 Fred Jackson BUF vs. NE

15 Andre Williams NYG at PHI

16 Lamar Miller MIA vs. GB

17 Ahmad Bradshaw IND at HOU

Tier 3

18 Doug Martin TB vs. BAL

19 Joique Bell DET at MIN:  Watch the injury news before the games start on Sunday, as Reggie Bush is looking doubtful.  If he sits out, bump Bell up to Tier 2.  In two games Bush sat out last year, Bell eclipsed 20 fantasy points in both (PPR).

20 Steven Jackson ATL vs. CHI

21 Matt Asiata MIN vs. DET

22 Shane Vereen NE at BUF

23 C.J. Spiller BUF vs. NE

24 Alfred Morris WAS at ARI

25 Ronnie Hillman DEN at NYJ

26 Trent Richardson IND at HOU

27 Bishop Sankey TEN vs. JAC

28 Darren Sproles PHI vs. NYG

29 Christopher Ivory NYJ vs. DEN

30 Zac Stacy STL vs. SF

31 Reggie Bush DET at MIN:  Be sure Bush is playing before setting your lineups, as of Friday it looks doubtful he'll suit up.

32 Darren McFadden OAK vs. SD

33 Jeremy Hill CIN vs. CAR

34 Stevan Ridley NE at BUF

35 Knowshon Moreno MIA vs. GB

36 Jerick McKinnon MIN vs. DET

37 Jonathan Stewart CAR at CIN

38 Chris Johnson NYJ vs. DEN

39 Shonn Greene TEN vs. JAC

40 Storm Johnson JAC at TEN:  Storm gets a big boost this week as Toby Gerhart has already been ruled out for week 6.  Johnson could get anywhere from 12-20 carries against a Tennessee run defense that got gouged by Ben Tate last week, even while playing ahead most of the game.

41 Isaiah Crowell CLE vs. PIT

42 Donald Brown SD at OAK

43 Antone Smith ATL vs. CHI

44 Terrance West CLE vs. PIT

45 C.J. Anderson DEN at NYJ

46 Robert Turbin SEA vs. DAL

47 Dexter McCluster TEN vs. JAC

48 Roy Helu WAS at ARI

49 Bernard Pierce BAL at TB

50 Lorenzo Taliaferro BAL at TB

Deymarius single-handedly carried a lot of fantasy teams last week

Tier 1

1 Demaryius Thomas DEN at NYJ

2 Antonio Brown PIT at CLE

3 Jordy Nelson GB at MIA

4 Julio Jones ATL vs. CHI:  Julio leads the league in catches, targets and yards.  We only have him 4th because we know he's going to be keyed on heavily but that hasn't stopped him to date.

5 Dez Bryant DAL at SEA

6 Brandon Marshall CHI at ATL

7 Alshon Jeffery CHI at ATL

8 Emmanuel Sanders DEN at NYJ

9 Randall Cobb GB at MIA

10 Steve Smith BAL at TB

11 Golden Tate DET at MIN:  Tate is quietly having a huge year, as he's a top 10 rated WR in almost every meaningful category.  Calvin Johnson is out, so it will be interesting to see if Tate can still produce with the extra attention of a number 1 WR.

12 Jeremy Maclin PHI vs. NYG

13 Vincent Jackson TB vs. BAL

Tier 2

14 DeAndre Hopkins HOU vs. IND

15 Percy Harvin SEA vs. DAL

16 Julian Edelman NE at BUF

17 Andre Johnson HOU vs. IND

18 Wes Welker DEN at NYJ

19 Victor Cruz NYG at PHI

20 Michael Floyd ARI vs. WAS

21 Kelvin Benjamin CAR at CIN

22 Ty Hilton IND at HOU

23 Mike Wallace MIA vs. GB

24 Roddy White ATL vs. CHI

25 Pierre Garcon WAS at ARI

26 Reggie Wayne IND at HOU

27 Keenan Allen SD at OAK

28 Brian Quick STL vs. SF

29 DeSean Jackson WAS at ARI

Tier 3

30 Kendall Wright TEN vs. JAC

31 Rueben Randle NYG at PHI

32 Larry Fitzgerald ARI vs. WAS

33 Sammy Watkins BUF vs. NE

34 Michael Crabtree SF at STL

35 Mohamed Sanu CIN vs. CAR

36 Andrew Hawkins CLE vs. PIT

37 Justin Hunter TEN vs. JAC

38 Allen Hurns JAC at TEN

39 Eric Decker NYJ vs. DEN

40 Eddie Royal SD at OAK

41 Allen Robinson JAC at TEN

42 Torrey Smith BAL at TB:  Several fantasy experts predict that this is the week Torrey gets it going.  It appears Baltimore is intent on getting him going and he's prone to having big games away from home in the past 2 years.  He's a great flex option for those who want to gamble.

43 Odell Beckham Jr. NYG at PHI

44 Brandon LaFell NE at BUF

45 Terrance Williams DAL at SEA

46 James Jones OAK vs. SD

47 Cordarrelle Patterson MIN vs. DET

48 Calvin Johnson DET at MIN

49 Greg Jennings MIN vs. DET

50 Anquan Boldin SF at STL

51 Andre Holmes OAK vs. SD

52 Markus Wheaton PIT at CLE:  The Browns corners have been disasters this year, including Joe Haden who is questionable with a hip injury.  Buster Skrine and rookie Justin Gilbert have given up big play after big play, and you have to believe the Browns are scheming to stop Antonio Brown who has owned them the past couple games.  That should leave Wheaton alone and streaking against shaky coverage.  If the pass-protection holds up this should be the week Wheaton catches a deep ball or two.

Gronk is getty healthy and his production has spiked every week since week 2

1 Julius Thomas DEN at NYJ: As usual, the top tier only has JT, Gronk and normally Jimmy Graham (bye).  A dozen other TEs are capable of having an explosive day but these 3 are consistently dominant and that's what makes them a cut above.  Thomas is a complete mismatch, especially in the redzone and has the luxury of playing in an offense where so many weapons eliminate the chance of too much focus from defenses.  Just hope he gets his looks before the game is out of hand, which should happen by about halftime.

2 Rob Gronkowski NE at BUF:  Gronk is practicing more and playing more snaps each week.  He's rapidly approaching full health and that's great news for owners.

Tier 2

3 Greg Olsen CAR at CIN

4 Delanie Walker TEN vs. JAC

5 Antonio Gates SD at OAK

6 Martellus Bennett CHI at ATL

7 Jordan Cameron CLE vs. PIT: Cameron appears to be getting healthier and his shoulder injury is subsiding.  His targets are there, last week he was 2nd on the team behind Hawkins so it's only a matter of time before he has a big game.  We think it's coming this week against the Steelers, who have struggled covering Tight Ends thus far this year.  They are in the bottom 3rd of the league in pass defense ranking.

8 Larry Donnell NYG at PHI

9 Owen Daniels BAL at TB

Tier 3

10 Heath Miller PIT at CLE

11 Zach Ertz PHI vs. NYG

12 Jason Witten DAL at SEA

13 Dwayne Allen IND at HOU

14 Niles Paul WAS at ARI

15 Vernon Davis SF at STL

16 Eric Ebron DET at MIN:  Could be in line for a more prominent role with Calvin Johnson out, caught a TD last week should have a chance to get free against a porous Minnesota secondary that just got destroyed by GB last week.

17 Jared Cook STL vs. SF

18 Jordan Reed WAS at ARI

19 Austin Seferian-Jenkins TB vs. BAL

20 Charles Clay MIA vs. GB

21 Scott Chandler BUF vs. NE

22 Timothy Wright NE at BUF

23 Ladarius Green SD at OAK

24 Andrew Quarless GB at MIA

25 Lance Kendricks STL vs. SF

26 Coby Fleener IND at HOU

27 Jace Amaro NYJ vs. DEN

28 Luke Willson SEA vs. DAL

29 Brandon Myers TB vs. BAL

30 Clay Harbor JAC at TEN

The Chargers get a second straight cupcake matchup with the hapless Raiders

1 San Diego Chargers SD at OAK:  If you are streaming defenses this year, and it seems like a great year to be doing that, you're going to want to put your waiver claims in early on whichever defenses are playing Oakland, NYJ, or Jacksonville.  They are the clear-cut worst three offenses in the league right now.  SD showed last week they know how to put away bad offenses, as they shut down and shut out the hapless Jets.  Expect more of the same against an Oakland team devoid of talent at every position on offense.

2 Denver Broncos DEN at NYJ

3 Detroit Lions DET at MIN

4 San Francisco 49ers SF at STL

5 Tennessee Titans TEN vs. JAC

6 New England Patriots NE at BUF

7 Cincinnati Bengals CIN vs. CAR

8 Seattle Seahawks SEA vs. DAL

9 Green Bay Packers GB at MIA

10 Baltimore Ravens BAL at TB

11 Philadelphia Eagles PHI vs. NYG

12 Arizona Cardinals ARI vs. WAS

13 Indianapolis Colts IND at HOU

14 Buffalo Bills BUF vs. NE

15 Houston Texans HOU vs. IND

16 Washington Redskins WAS at ARI:  The Redskins have a great pass rush and the Cardinals are very shaky at QB right now.  Palmer is going to play and is saying he's feeling better but in a week where you might need an alternative DST give the skins a look.

17 New York Giants NYG at PHI

18 Pittsburgh Steelers PIT at CLE

19 Tampa Bay Buccaneers TB vs. BAL

20 Carolina Panthers CAR at CIN

21 Cleveland Browns CLE vs. PIT

22 Minnesota Vikings MIN vs. DET

29 New York Jets NYJ vs. DEN

30 Oakland Raiders OAK vs. SD
