West Africa Travel Journal
Today, I arrived at the Accra airport in Ghana. I am exhausted from traveling, but decided to walk through the streets of Accra and explore the city. It was 97 degrees outside, so I took things slowly. I especially enjoyed the African music as I walked, even though it was difficult to hear over the sounds of traffic and so many people.
I traveled to Nigeria today, which is the second largest country in Africa. Nigeria is fascinating to me because of the diversity among the people, and how they survive the growing poverty. I learned that the oil industry here has provided funding for roads in Lagos, which is one of the largest cities in Africa. My favorite part of visiting Nigeria was the National Museum. I loved all of the sculptures!
