Veterinarian- A person qualified to treat diseased or injured animals.

A vet can give surgery, groom the animal, board animals, and more.

Vets work in a clinic similar to a doctor's office. They have rooms to check on the pets, surgery rooms, and their personal office. Some of their tools and medications can be hazardous. They could get emotionally attached to a pet and if it dies they could be sad.

Vets work at least 40 hours a week. They need to be flexible with their schedules in case their is an emergency with an animal.

education requirements:

Bachelors degree, Doctor of veterinarian (2 years), have to pass the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam.

You need to volunteer before you become a vet.

Vets make $43.25 at the least and hour and at the most they make $55.09 an hour.

The demand for Vets in the next few years will grow because people are starting to get more pets.

The most similar job to a Vet is a Doctor. They learn a lot of the same stuff, have some of the same requirements, and both have to go to a lot of school. A doctor earns more money but they both earn a lot.
