Alice Walker

Alice Walker fought for the rights of black women.

She joined many movements such as the Nation of Islam (NOI). The NOI is a religious movement founded by Wallace D. Ford in 1930. The NOI wanted to better the spiritual, mental, social, and economics of African American women

She also was apart of a group called The Black Panther Party. The Black Panther Party used violence for justice for black women. It was founded by Bobby Seale and Huey P. Newton.

Black Feminism was what Alice Walker fought against. Black Feminism is about justice against racism, sexism, and oppression. It proved that black women experienced a more intense oppression than white women.

Alice Walker's fight for black women justice was a success.Now black women have the same rights as white women , and they take full advantage of them.
