         In 1850, Vega became the first star to be photographed. Vega is also known as Alpha Lyrae. Vega is the brightest star in the constellation Lyra. Vega is the 5th brightest star in the entire sky. Vegas' color is a bluish white, its spectral class is A0V.

       Vega's distance is 25.3 light years and it's approximate temperature is around 9,500C. Vega has a radius of about 1.1 miles (1.8 million km). Vega is about two and a half times larger than our sun. Due to Vegas' higher mass, it  burns fuel at a quicker rate than our sun. Vegas' lifespan is also 1/10 if our suns. Our Suns lifespan is about 10 billion while Vegas' is only 1 billion. Vega has a mass of 2.1 solar masses.
