About Winsome Packer

In her role as policy advisor, Winsome Packer supported members of the United States Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, a group composed of members from both houses of Congress. Before establishing herself in the policy field, she enrolled at Florida State University in Tallahassee, where she earned her bachelor of arts in international affairs. Following that, Winsome Packer secured her master of public administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta.

Early in her career, Winsome Packer gained practical experience in her field as research assistant with the Georgia General Assembly's State Planning and Community Affairs Committee. Later, she transitioned from the Georgia to the federal government by becoming a professional staff member with the United States House of Representatives Committee on Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Education, Training, and Development. Her background also includes time as management analyst with the Veterans Health Administration and United States Delegate to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

When not working, Packer stays active by writing fiction (she is working on her second novel), traveling,dancing and reading novels. One of her favorite novels is The Turkish Gambit by Boris Akunin.
