Winter Round Up
A Note from your ITRT

During this busy time of year, just a few ideas and resources I thought may be helpful including our monthly twitter chat and animating our math.

Twitter Chats & #Peel21st Storify

Did you know that the last Tuesday of each month we hold a #peel21st twitter chat? This month's chat from 8:30-9:30 is focused on learning spaces. Don't worry if you can't make it. We storify the chat afterwards and it is posted to bit.ly/peel21stblog. We also publish a weekly storify of the great things that are happening out there around 21st century teaching and learning.  Click HERE to access our last post. Make sure to include #peel21st in your social media posts (twitter, instagram, vine) so we don't miss them!

15 Tools for the New Year

During our December twitter chat we shared some of our favourite things from apps, to online tools, blogs and twitter hashtags. Here is a collection of 15 for 2015. Have a favourite? Make sure to share it!

Animating Our Math:

In December's round up we shared a link to the iBook with a variety of apps to capture students thinking. This January we have been exploring how we could capture student thinking in geometry and patterning with stop motion animation.

What hashtag should I use?

With more and more educators in Peel joining social media, hashtags are a great way to share and connect across the board. To add your favourites, click HERE.

#KidsCanCreateChange

On the weekend, I stumbled upon this tweet by George Couros sharing a great new project Mrs. Wideen's class is tackling around inquiry and social justice. Join in on the learning with the #kidscancreatechange hashtag.
