The challenges of dyslexia
Dyslexia is a common brain disease in America and can be very challanging. Dyslexia can cause poor fluency in reading,and slow down vocabulary and comprehension. This is often genetic or neurological. A person may show signs of it if he or she has a high IQ but does not do well academically. About 90% of the people who have dyslexia are male. The child may do better on tests orally but not if its written.Young children show signs if they have delayed speech problems. Some ways to overcome dyslexia is to create an environment where mistakes are a part of the learning process. Also the student should learn at the level of difficulty he or she has. Although dyslexia is challenging to overcome, it is not impossible. Many great people such as Albert Einstein had dyslexia and the were very successful.
