Fahrenhiet 451

Indirectly: Unique

Clarisse is considered as a unique in Fahrenheit 451. An example of this is how she is not like everyone else. Also her in depth thinking of everything. This indirect because the author did not tell us she was unique. Only gave hints.

Directly: Wise

Clarisse was very wise. We were given this information directly. An example of this is how she has so much knowledge of the past and how the world was before the government was made. Clarisse was also close to her uncle who was also very wise. This is direct characterization because it says in the text that she is wise.
