Sour Pour!

My name is Citric Acid. I can be pretty crabby but most people enjoy my flavor, others can’t stand me. I am put into many things, but can I just say, I personally think I’m the thing that makes foods vigorous. If you haven’t guessed it yet I’m in many foods. I am used in everyday life by being found naturally in many fruits and vegetables. And I’m also in candies to give them that sour punch, that is why I love those special holidays that involve candy. For example, I'm in lemons, oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, apples, peaches, brown rice, soy beans, and wheat. I also preserve foods such as jams and jellies. I also give texture to processed cheese. I am an organic compound that is often used as a preservative in canned and frozen foods. I'm also used to flavor soft drinks and some foods. Some amount of me is naturally in many fruits and vegetables. But regardless of my source, too much of me can be hard on peoples' teeth. My molecules are the carbon, hydrogen, and the oxygen part of me put together. My particles are the tiniest piece of me, and my elements are carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. There are 6 pieces of carbon in me, 8 pieces of hydrogen in me, and 7 pieces of oxygen in me. That means I'm C6H8O7. My atoms are the things that make me up, they are also known as carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Atoms make up everything in the world. Including me! And that is my life!
