What is Salmonella?

It is a bacterium that mainly occurs in the intestines, that is the most common cause of food poisoning in the United States.

Who is at risk?

People like little kids or adults are the main ones who are at risk for Salmonella. You can be at any age and get this.

What are the sources(things people eat)?

Any foods like Contaminated eggs, poultry, meat, unpasteurized milk or juice, cheese, raw fruits/vegetables, spices, and nuts may carry Salmonella in them.

What is the Incubation period?

The Incubation period is where almonella is usually from 12-72 hours, but it could be longer.

How can you prevent the illness?

One way to prevent getting Salmonella is always washing your hands, after you do or touch anything.

What are the symptoms?

If you ever get Salmonella you might notice some symptoms that may be Diarrhea, fever, abdominal cramps, and vomiting.

How dangerous is the illness?

Salmonella can be dangerous it is mainly in fast food restaurants now. More and more people are getting really sick, so be aware it can happen to anybody.
