Worried that an online video resource won't be available to you on the day of your lesson?  Does the bandwidth issue cause your online vids to hiccup during the buffering process?  Eliminate both of these issues by downloading your video before your lesson.

Navigate to the YouTube video you want to save and click into the URL between the period(.) and the word YouTube.

Type in ss in that exact spot.

Hit the Enter Key and choose your download preference.

I typically choose the MP4 option and have always had success in playing back on my computer/projector system.

How do you like my screen shots?  Heard of Skitch?

Only need a part of a video?  ...let's chop it with TubeChop

Tubechop is a tool that is capable of taking a video from Youtube or any other website and cutting out the parts you want. This is a great way to delete video advertisements from the beginning or ending of a clip. You can also crop a video so that you are left with only the portion of the video that pertains to your lesson.

ZoomIt is a screen zoom and annotation tool from Microsoft. This tool allows you to zoom in to specific areas on a website to focus student attention on the desired content while casting attention away from the unneeded content.  ZoomIt runs unobtrusively in the tray and activates with customizable hotkeys to zoom in on an area of the screen, move around while zoomed, and draw on the zoomed image.
