Thanks to All of My 8th Grade Teachers
From Kelly Robinson to you
Dear Ms. Johnson,
At first Language Arts was a war I felt like I was going to lose, but then you came to lift me out of the ashes. One of the many projects that I enjoyed in your class was the articles. This is because it really helped me break apart different texts so that I could fully understand it. Also, it was the thing i struggle with the most and seeing myself over come that struggle really made me proud. One assignment that I felt was the Huckleberry Finn book we had on Gobstoppers only because my internet was not fully working at the time, but now I see that it really did benefit me at the end with analyzing text. One reason I will never forget this class is because even when I was going down, you wouldn't let me sink. You were a motivator to me as well as many others. When my grades were falling, you were one of the people that made me see the path i was taking and i truly appreciate you for that.
Dear Ms. Smith,
I though that this year was an endless journey, but we are finally reaching our destination. Math has always been my favorite subject since I was in elementary school. The most interesting lesson this year to me was the car project. This is because I really enjoyed picking out my dream car and seeing how this would apply to the math standard. While I appreciate the extra credit, I feel that If i would have did and turn my work in on time, my grade wouldn't be where they were, and i would not have needed it. One reason I will not forget this class Is because when my grades were falling, you help find different ways to help bring it back up. If it weren't for you, I may have not been able to bring it up and i thank you for that.
Dear Ms. Roy,Science was an roller coaster of enthusiasm and excitement. Not a day single day pass with me not look forward to going to your class. the most engaging lesson we had would be the egg drop project. I really enjoyed seeing others building different things in order to protect there eggs from cracking, and also the science that had o go into it. Honestly, i cannot think of any assignment given that I felt was unhelpful. One thing i will always remember about this year how you were always there for your students. Whenever someone had they needed, you where there to guide them. Also i will always remember the saying, " When you hear my lovely voice, your lovely voice stops." Sincerely,
Dear Ms. Doorsett,
Social Studies was a a distant language to me, it was never really my favorite subject, but you made it come alive. You made it connect to us so that i could truly understand it. The most engaging assignment we had this year would have to be the market day project. I like this because it is where we can be entrepreneurs coming up with an item and taking a risk with our money. It really shows us the different challenges Entrepreneurs have to face. I really appreciate the extra credit, but i am kind of disappointed in myself for not turning my assignments in on time, as well as fully completed. One thing i will always remember about this year in your class is how you were real with us when you discussed certain topics. You really made what we had to learn about Georgia come alive in many ways. Thank you for everything you do.
