How to play: Playing piano is NOT just a piece of cake. You have to have good Technic and fingering. Good fingering means to be able to cross over and Technic is being able to go all the way from one octave to another AND while crossing over in one movement.
Types of music: There are A LOT of different types of music such as pop, Rock and Roll. But today I am mainly going to talk about Jazz and Blues. Jazz has kid of slow sad Rhythm to it. Jazz originated in New Orleans, Louisiana in the early 20th century (about 100 years ago). Blues has a fast rhythm . It was originated in New Orleans too in the 19th century.
Notes on piano: Now, I am going to tell you the main notes on the piano. They are A, B, C, D, E, F, G then it starts back over. There are also Sharps and Flats, there is A, B, C, D, E, F and G sharps, the flat's are A, B, C, D, E, F and G Flat. C Sharp is the same thing as D flat. And F Sharp is the same as G flat.
History of the Piano: The History of the piano goes back to Padua, Italy in 1709 in the work shop of Bartolomeo di Francesco Cristofori, a harpsichord maker. He lived from 1655-1731. Many stringed and key board instruments all lead up to the instrument we know today, the piano.
