Explanation of a Mixture - A mixture is a combination of two or more pure substances in which each pure substance still hold its chemical properties. They are also put together physically and can be separated physically.

Real life example - When I get a bag of candy, M&M's specifically, Sometimes I separate the candy by color. The one thing that I didn't know was that this was a mixture and I have been doing science my whole life. M&M's are a mixture because they can be separated physically and they have distinct difference from one another.
