Who: Bruce Springsteen "Born To Run"

When: Early 80's

Why: In the Kelly House, if it was Friday night at 5pm it meant two things were goin down. First, it was PIZZA NIGHT! and Secondly, Born to Run was on the needle. This record brings back some of my best memories about my early family life. We would all sing along and dance to this record and destroy some Geppettos pizza. It was a tradition that lasted through most of my early life until probably the early 90's. This record is just about flawless.

Where: I still have yet to see The Boss, but in due time I'm sure I will.

This record means a lot to me. It takes me back to a simpler time when I was a kid, and all the fun I had singing songs with my family. The memories are vivid and beautiful. Bruce has brought alot of joy into my life through song. Although "The River" and "Born in the USA" were also played in the house a lot because of their release dates, "Born To Run" always made a weekly appearance. Bruce was the one artist that everyone in my house could get behind.

Like the majority of early music in my life, its hard to describe exactly why a record makes me feel the way I do, especially this one. I think its just about the fond memories you get when you hear a song. For "Born To Run", its every
