              Michael Jordan was born 1963, Brooklyn New York . After a few years of living in New York, Michael and his family moved to North Carolina . His mother taught him to sew, clean, and do the laundry . He had two older brothers, one older sister, and a younger sister . His childhood was very easy . He would play a basketball game against his older brothers .

                                                             NBA All-Star

               Michael Jordan became a NBA All-Star by never giving up . Even though he didn’t come a athletic family, he always loved playing against his older brothers . Many times Michael knew he was going to lose, but he never gave up . He wanted to get better so he would play with more athletic kids . He would skip school lessons to sneak into the gym . He would ask to play again and again . Coaches saw ability in Michael so he wanted to be that guy . The Jordan's encouraged Michael to make friendships with African-Americans & Whites .

                                                               Sweet Switch

               Michael’s father always dreamed of playing baseball . When his father died Michael wanted to fulfill his father’s dream . It helped him get his mind off his father’s death . He liked the challenge of a new sport . He played a whole season of baseball but he wasn’t very good . So he went back to playing basketball for a few more seasons .
