King Henry VIII was a very wealthy man that was obese. A possible cause of death was over eating. He was a very smart man who knew Latin and French, a little Italian and Spanish, and even studied Greek for a time.
King Henry was born in London, England in 1491 and died in the same city as king at age of 55 in 1547.
King Henry VII established the Church of England in order to divorce his wife. This was a Protestant church.
Henry VIII Wives
Henry VIII's biggest contribution to the Renaissance was the unification of England.
Henry VIII also started war with France for giving aid to their enemy, Scotland.
