This spring break I went to Seaside, Oregon with my friend Sammi. Over the 6 days we were there we went to a light house, surf shops, an aquarium, beaches, a moivie, a tide pool, a waterfall, and a deformed tree called The Octopus Tree.
I believe we spent over 20 hours driving to and from Oregon as well as traveling around. 16 hours out of 20 we spent driving to and from Oregon.
The Octopus Tree was insanely large. It had a sign that said:
"The forces that shaped this unique Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis) have been debated for many years. Whether natural events or possibly Native Americans were the cause remains a mystery. The tree measures more than 46 feet in circumference and has no central trunk. Instead, limbs extend horizontally from the base as much as 16 feet before turning upward. It is 105 feet tall and is estimated to be 250 to 300 years old."
Cape Meares was where we saw both, the light house and the Octopus Tree.
I have lived in Spokane my whole life. In the first grade I got Pneumonia I was in the hospital for a few months then was sent home. But not to long after I got home I came down with more symptoms of Pneumonia, and once again I was put into the hospital. I was there for another 3 months, this time an I.V was put in my right arm reaching all the way into my lungs. In the second grade I was put in to a home-schooling program called Spokane Valley Learning Academy, S.V.L.A for short. Sixth grade was the first time, in a long time, I was in a school building 5 days a week taught by another person other than my mom.
