About Xavier Romano

A professional active in higher education, Xavier Romano works as principal of his own consultancy, which assists colleges and universities by supporting their student retention, enrollment management, and staff development efforts. In recent years, he worked with a diversity of institutions ranging from Jazan Economic City Polytechnic in Jizan, Saudi Arabia, to the California State University at Stanislaus, to Beloit and Colorado Colleges. In his consultancy Xavier Romano partnered with stakeholders to structure operations and craft effective and appropriate learning environments, maximize resources and develop structures to enhance student success.

Early in his career, Xavier Romano served Holy Names College in Oakland, California, as an admissions officer. Soon after, he accepted the director of multicultural student services position with Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon. Over the next two decades, he worked in leadership roles at the vice president and dean of students level in California and Illinois at Holy Names and Knox Colleges. He is now the Fresno Campus Director for Alliant International University in Central California.

An individual active in his broader community, Xavier Romano belongs to numerous higher education and community based organizations representing his broad portfolio of interests and passion for broadening access to higher education to historically underrepresented populations.
