The Great Depression

The Great Depression was a very bad worldwide economy depression in the 1930's. The time of the Great Depression went across countries; but, in a lot of countries it started in 1929 and lasted until the late 1930s. It was the longest, deepest, and most spread out depression of the 1900 era.

This time was when segregation first started. It was a hard time for the blacks to ever get an education. If a black guy walked into this university he'd probably get shot. But i think or well i know it is a lot different from how it is now especially from segregation.

Stan's Apology Letter

Dear Mr.Stroheimy,

                    I am Incredibly sorry for what I did. I do admit it was very bad or me to do that. I was just trying to do something good for a friend but it was handled in the wring way. I just want to tell you the whole story and why i did that to you.

When i saw what you doing that to that guy i knew he wouldn't stand up for himself.

Broad way show

When Tracy wins a role on the show, she becomes a celebrity overnight, and meets a colorful array of characters. She then launches a campaign to integrate the show. Hairspray is a social commentary on the injustices of parts of American society in the 1960s.

The musical's original Broadway production opened on August 15, 2002.

In 2003 it won eight Tony Awards out of thirteen nominations. It ran for over 2500 shows and closed on January 4, 2009. Hairspray has also had national tours, a London West End production, and numerous foreign productions and was adapted as a 2007 musical movie . The London production was nominated for a record-setting eleven Laurence Oliver award, winning for Best New Musical and in three other categories.
