Every year, thousands of teens in the United States commit suicide. Depression and suicide are treatable mental disorders. Suicide is the third leading cause of death for 15-24 year olds. To help someone with these feelings, follow these steps: First of all remain calm. If you do not stay calm they may get scared. Ask them questions about the situation. Listen to them. It will make them want to talk about everything that is going on. Tell them that they have help and they don't have to feel like this forever. Do not judge them or they will feel like your lying to them. Do not leave this person alone. Because they may want to get out of the talk by self harming themselves. Remove the thought of self-harm so the thoughts will leave. Give them a hug and tell them that everything will be okay and that it will only get better, not worse. Talk to another adult about the problem and get to a doctor about the situation. Make sure to talk to school officials about the bullies behavior's in school towards other students.
