Dmitri Mendeleev was a Russian Chemist who made the periodic table, reorganized the element by properties, arranged the elements by atomic mass, predicted existence of many unknown element, and crated his own version of the periodic table.

In March, 1869 Dmitri Mendeleev made the periodic table and "placed the elements according to their value of atomic weights which presents a clear periodicity of properties."  If Mendeleev did not made the periodic table "clearly it would have been impossible to find any relationship between the elements using the old atomic weights which were Ca = 20, Sr = 43.8, and Ba = 63.5."
