Technology In-Service Opportunities for March / April 2015

Tuesday, March 3 - Moby Max for Differentiation and Instruction (Rock Springs Elementary)

Part I: In this session you will explore the different features of Moby Max. Moby Max is not only a Math tool, but also includes Language, Reading, Vocabulary, and Writing. Moby Max will identify curriculum gaps and provides prescriptive activities and lessons. Learn to post messages to your students, give rewards, take polls, print off worksheets, create contests among students or other classes, and find out how much time each student spent on certain skills.

Part II: In this session you will Apply the different features of Moby Max learned in part I. Teachers will enroll students, setup classes, make assignments, become familiar with progress monitoring features, explore collaborative tools, and more.

Tuesday, March 10 - Office 365 (Rock Springs Elementary) *Not in School Station*

This in-service will give you a more in-depth look at Office 365, including how to utilize the 'Groups' feature, the calendar functions, and your One Drive.

Wednesday, March 18 - Flipped Classroom TEAM: Motivate Students and Activities and Materials (Rock Springs Middle)

Join us as we delve into the concept of “Flipped Learning” and “Blended Learning” as opposed to the traditional concept of classroom instruction. Come and explore opportunities, resources, and tools that will help you take the first steps into flipping your classroom.

Wednesday, April 8 - Be a Gameshow Host (Rock Springs Middle)

Looking for a way to actively involve your students in review for upcoming assessments? This session is primarily for whole class instruction and will give you free resources and ready made templates to engage student interest while incorporating technology tools and providing prompt high quality feedback.

Tuesday, April 14 - Technology Smackdown (Rock Springs Elementary)

It is time to brush up on new and great resources that will turn an ordinary classroom into a stage for engaging learning. This fast-paced session will showcase the latest finds in standards based content, productivity life-savers, web 2.0 tools, collaborative tools, and student engagement applications. Come prepared to share your favorite resources with the group.
