8MEH.2.2 The Decision-Making Model
Step 1 : State the Situation : A not so popular student has invited you to a sleep over at a birthday party on Friday night. You have accepted the invitation and are planning to attend. On Wednesday, you are invited to a boy-girl party for the same Friday night by one of the most popular students in your school, someone you have hoped to become friends with. After talking with your friends, you realize most of them will attend the boy-girl party. Your parents have told you it is your decision, but that you should attend the party you responded to first. You really want to be a part of the popular crowd. What do you do?
Step 2 : List Options : You can go to even party . You can go the popular party or boy-girl party .
Step 3 : Weigh the possible outcome : If i pick the postive nothing bad will happen and If i pick negative i will get into something bad or something legal
Step 4: Consider Vaules : I think i she sould go to the boy-girl
Step 5 : Make a decision and act it : Go to boy-girl because i want do nothing bad or legal
Step 6 : Evaluate the decision :The other person probaly be mad cause i didnt come to there .
Step 1: Situation :She dont know which one she wanna got to ? ( Summer Science or Basetball Camp.
Step 2:Options: She go to Basketball Camp or Summer Science .
Step 3:Outcomes: If I go to the basketball camp im not be able to play it in high school . but if i go to the summer scicnce i would be able to play basketball in high school
Step 4: Values: I think she should go to the science camp .
Step 5: Act it: Summer Science because she get better at science so she can play basketball in high school .
Step 6: Eavluate: Postive because she will be better at science so she can play basketball in high school .
