ELECTRICITY

BY: Kyle Byrd

In my tackk I will be talking about electricity.

Benjamin Franklin discovered electricity while flying a kite with a key tied onto the rope in a thunder storm.

Electricity is the form of energy resulting from the existence of charged particles.

-Electric current is measured in amperes (amps).

-Electric potential energy is measured in volts.

-Electric circuits can contain parts such as switches, transformers, resistors and transformers.

-Electricity travels at the speed of light - more than 186,000 miles per second.

-A spark of static electricity can measure up to three thousand (3,000) volts.

Electricity plays a role in the natural world by powering computers, lights, air condition/heating, etc.
