Homemade White Bread

Makes 1 loaf


3 cups AP flour

1 cup water

1 package quick rise yeast

1/2 cup milk

1 Tbsp vegetable shortening

1 1/2 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt  

In a large bowl add flour , yeast , sugar and salt mix set aside . In a sauce pan add water , milk and shortening. When you see small bubbles remove from heat and stir until the shortening starts to break up. Make a hole in the center of the flour and add milk mixture . Stir until dough forms into a ball. Flour counter flip dough out knead  for 5 mintues . If dough is sticky add flour a little at a time. Grease mixing bowl with butter add dough back in flip once . Cover with plastic wrap . Let double twice its side. Knead again on flour suface.Put in greased bread pan . Let rise again . Bake at 375 for  45 minutes or until golden brown . Make sure oven is preheated.
