Life without the moon.
Can you imagine life without our moon? Well were going to take a walk through what life is like without a moon. The moon has SO many important parts in our life here on Earth. What of there were no moon phases? If there were no high and low tides? No Eclipses?
If there were no moon phases then we wouldn't have day and night only day. The moon wouldn't revolve around the sun. Therefore we would always be in Summer, never Winter just summer all year round. The moon has 8 different phases, those phases help keep Earth in line and tell us what time its suppose to be. When it's dark its bed time when it's light its time to get up. If we didn't have the moon we wouldn't know what time or day it was.
If there was no moon we wouldn't have high or low tides therefore the ocean would always be the same height everywhere you swim. The gravitational pull from the moon causes high and low tides, so if it wasn't pulling it would always be low. The ocean rises when The moon pulls on certain parts of the ocean.
If there were no Eclipses then there would be no rotation of Earth, we would have no gravitational pull to stay in place. No Eclipses cause no way of knowing that our Earth is still working. The moon plays such a major role in the Solar System that without it we wouldn't be able to survive. We wouldn't know when the different seasons were coming. Eclipses are when the moon and the Earth's shadows collide or cross each other, so there would be no darkness and one side of Earth would always be warm and he other side would always be cold.
Life without the moon wouldn't be a very fun place as you can see now would it? We wouldn't have any help on really anything. No time, no light, no dark, no day, no night. Let's keep the moon.
