CPR cheat sheet
-check the scene make sure it is safe
-check patient responses,and normal breathing
-activate ems\call 911
-compressions 30 at 100 per min
Adult-Place heel of hand of the dominant hand on the center of the chest between the nipples. The second hand should be placed on top and 2 in deep
Child-Place heel of one hand in the center of the chest between the nipples and 1/3 deep
-check air way tilt head back
-give two breaths about 1 sec each
-if breaths don't go in reposition head and try again
-if that doesn't work get the AED
-and activate the machine
tap the babies foot see for respond
tell someone to call 911
30 compressions and 2 breaths at a rate of at least 100 per minute.
Use 2 fingers on the breastbone just below the nipple line.
Depth: At least 1/3 the depth of the chest
adult/child conscious choking
ask are you choking. If a person is unable to breath or speak, treat the patient
Stand behind the victim with one foot inbetween the victims feet and your other foot behind you.
Place your fist just above the patients belly button.
Grab the back of your fist with your other hand.
pull inward and upward untill object comes out
infant conscious choking
activate EMS/call 911
support the infant’s face and place body on forearm.
keep the infants head lower than the feet.
give 5 back blows with the palm of your hand.
support the infant’s head.
turn the baby over onto your other forearm.
give 5 chest thrusts.
continue back blows and chest thrusts until object comes out or infant becomes unconscious.
adult/child unconscious choking
lower patient to the ground
Give 30 chest compressions
Open the airway
check the mouth for a foreign body object.
If something is seen sweep it out with the index finger
attempt rescue breaths.
if breaths don't go in reposition head and try again
If victim is still unconscious and not breathing normally continue CPR with cycles of 30 compression and 2 breaths.
infant unconscious choking
check the scene
give 30 chest compressions
open the airway and check the mouth for a foreign body. If something is seen sweep it out with your pinky finger
give 2 breaths.
If victim is still unconscious and not breathing normally continue CPR withcycles of 30 compressions and 2 breaths.
put direct pressure
add more bandages to the top dont take any of bottom
go with elevation
start at end of arm work towards the heart
when get to top of wound put a twist in it
check for leak through if there is wrap it up more
AED=automated external defibrillater
turn on machine
Bare the chest and Dry it off if it is wet. If there is excessive hair you may need to shave it off.
Place one pad on the patients upper right chest above the nipple.
Place the other pad on the patients lower left ribs below the armpit.
follow directions on pads
make sure pads are firmly pressed down
push shock button when AED tells you
if no shock advised start cpr on the patient
