Brief  History

Vietnam was crate in 2879 B.C., still then is has acquired a lot of history and a lot of details. World War 2 started in November 1, 1955 and ended in April 30, 1975. The war started because the North Vietnamese government and the Vietcong were fighting to reunify Vietnam under communist rule. They viewed the conflict as a colonial war , fought initially against forces from France and then America, and later against South Vietnam. The U.S. entered the war because it wanted to prevent communism.

Environment and landscape

Vietnam is located between 9 and 23 degrees north, and eastern long coastline on the Gulf of Tonkin and the South China sea. Vietnam has tropical monsoon climate, but most of Vietnam has mesothermal climates with dry winters. Having a 28in of  monthly average rainfall, and 80.95 degrease ferinhight average a year. Vietnam has the best conditions for growing rice also making it the most important crop in Vietnam. It is specially grown in the highlands of Vietnam.

Politics of Today

Vietnam is a  communist party (VCP--Viet Nam Cong San Dang), it became  communist because of Chinese influence. The government unable to act without parties approval. The number of people in the state determines the amount of representatives. Vietnam has a president, his name is Trương Tấn Sang. Born in January 21, 1949, and is now one of the countries top leaders. He maintains the regular and coordinated operation and stability of the national government system, and safeguards the independence and territorial integrity of the country.

The GDP of Vietnam from 1985 until 2013 is 47.87 billion. In 2009 Vietnam export a total of $56.6 billion. .90 million unemployed. Using Vietnamese dong as their currency. Vietnam's three main exporters and importers are China, Japan, and South Korea. They export broadcasting equipment, crude petroleum, leather footwear, computers, and coffee. Their imports are refine petroleum, telephones, integrated circuits, hot rolled iron,  and light rubberized knitting fabric.

Kids in Vietnam go six days a week, the school day is about 4 hour long, running from September to May.They learn literature, math, science and geography, and they are also taught traditional manners and customs. Classes are overcrowded and have no playgrounds, so they have to find extra activities. Their schools are free except they have to pay for uniforms. The schools in Vietnam are pre-primary, Primary, Intermediate, Secondary and Higher education. The school in Vietnam is free and does not cost any thing.

Vietnam has three major religions Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. Taoism as the leading one. Introduced to Vietnam by Chinese influence in 600 B.C.. Lao-Tze, was the founder of Taoism. Taoism has the 8 pillars, which nourish us mentally and physically, by nourishing the bacteria and viruses in us. The 8 pillars are the Tao of philosophy, the Tao of revitalization (internal exercise), the Tao of balanced diet, the Tao of forgotten food diet, the Tao of healing art, the Tao of sex wisdom, the Tao of mastery, and the Tao of success.

Cultural Traditions

Vietnam has many interesting and amazing holidays, but the one that caught my attention is their New Years. They celebrate it on Feb. 19. They also have over 54 ethnic groups and so much different clothing to chose from, wanting to change the peoples dress and form of clothing from the 18th century. The clothing is called Ao Dai. Vietnam has also a bunch of delicious foods like rice, but it comes in many forms like steamed, sticky, noodles, pancakes, and porridge. The thing that really brings Vietnam to life is their calming music. They don't try to focus on feeling the outside world's needs or to fit in ,but instead they right their music to calm and right about life at a village.
