First Telephone- 1874

Alexander Graham Bell

Alexander Graham Bell invented the first telephone in 1874. The telephone transmits sound via Electrical current. Bell tested the telephone with varying intensity until he succeeded in 1876. The telephone revolutionized business and personal communication. He named the company the Bell Telephone Company which is currently known as the American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T).
