Why Dieting Doesn't Usually Work

The Brain regulates your weight by sending signals throughout your body when you are hungry or you are full. The Thalamus is responsible for regulating body weight so it works to balance signals from the body that communicate the status of fuel and a person's emotional state to modify feeding behavior and energy. The Body is used to a specific body weight and specific energy to keep it functioning so when you diet you affect the whole balance confusing the brain leading it to continue in your old ways with your old body weight causing you to over eat and gin the weight you lost back. Dieting can hurt your body more then helping it. Leads to eating disorders
