Web quest (1-20)

.) 3 interesting things about petroleum- Vitamin Capsules, Wheels, and Shampoo. 3 things that are important to us- Aspirin, Toothpaste, and Antiseptics.

.) 6, 317, 148 motor vehicles where currently on the street.

.) 318, 034, 41 people currently live in the United States of America, and 7,165,729,621 people currently live in the world, and about 4.4% of them live in the U.S

.) 2.8 million barrels a day.

.) 260, 000 barrels a day.

.) About 9.3% of that is consumed by the U.S.

.) 4.4%, and 9.3%

.) 2.8 million barrels a day.

.) 398, 950 barrels are consumed.

.) Exxon Mobil Corporation, 727 million barrels of crude oil.

.) According to resources it would take less than a year, they say that it would take up to 36 days of the U.S consumption, because the current consumption level is 19.5 million barrels a day.

.) It peaked during the 1980s

.) The crude oil production increased the most during the 19802

.) The largest exporter of petroleum to the United Sates is Canada but they only give us .00027% of our oil.

.) Because to get the oil from foreign countries it cost money and that means less money for us.

.) The production peak is expected to occur at the end of the calendar of 2014, Their prediction is that NPR-3 is scheduled to sold and transferred to a new private ownership.

.) That there would either be  more oil consumption a day or there would be more oil left over.

.) No because most of everything has and or needs energy to function right.

.) The content on the video is talking about oil and how it's being depleted. To me I think the content if very accurate and fair.

.) If I was President Obama I would try to reserve as much energy as I could by telling the nation to cut their TV's and lights off when they go to bed. If they do that they will conserve more energy that they could need later. If they don't do that they could have less energy they could use and might get put in the dark. So I would tell them to save as much energy as possible so that wouldn't happen. I would tell the who country that so we could have a lot of reserve energy for later needs.

If I was President Obama I would also try and harness solar energy. I would try to use solar lights to collect the energy, but I wouldn't want to spend a lot of money on them. So I would get the cheapest lights but also the most efficient for my nation. I would tell them they need to store up energy in the day and use that energy at night. The sun would provide the energy while we can continuously use it until the sun or sunlight is no more.

I would also try and use more natural energy like geothermal energy, solar energy, and wind energy. Wind energy is when turbines spin because of the wind and that creates electricity. Geothermal energy is energy that is stored with in Earth and can be either renewable and nonrenewable. I would try and use those as much as I can to try and keep nonrenewable resources around a little bit longer. So if I was President I would use mostly natural resources and renewable resources for energy instead of nonrenewable resources.
