This is Confucius. He is the famous Chinese philosopher who made up Confucianism. He is known as the most famous chinese philosopher is Chinese history. He taught the people who believed in Confucianism that there are five different relationships. he taught the younger people in the relationship to respect their elders and for the older people in the relationships to set a good example for the younger person.
This picture is very important to confucianism. It is important because Confucius believed that there were five different relationships. in these relationships the younger person must show respect to the older person in the relationship.One example of that is the younger person opening a door for the older person. In return the older person must set a good example for the younger person. An example of this would be the older person teaching the younger person manners in public.
These are ancient Confucianism texts called the Analects. The analects were made by many Confucius followers. The Analects are a collection of texts meant attributed to Confucius. The analects were written during China's Waring States period. The analect were mostly studied by the people of the Han Dynasty. The Analects are important to Confucianism because they are texts attributed to the philosopher (Confucius) who created Confucianism.
