Greek God/Goddess & Myth Creation

Part One

Write one descriptive paragraph that explains the following characteristics of your god/goddess in 8-10 sentences.

a. What is the name of your god/goddess? (get creative)

b. You are the god/goddess of what? (see image above)

c. What do you look like? (use very descriptive words here)

d. What kind of personality do you have? (nice, friendly, mean, etc)

e. What is your special power? (use your descriptive words)

f. Cut and paste your paragraph in the response area below!

*Don’t forget to indent your paragraph!

Part Two

Draw a picture of your god/goddess.

a. Use plain white paper

b. The drawing should take up the majority of the page

c. The drawing must incorporate color (markers, crayons, colored pencils, etc.)

d. The name of your god/goddess must appear at the top of the page in special lettering (computer font is okay for this!)

*Don't forget to place your name in the upper right hand corner of the page

Part Three

A myth is a made-up story that explains the existence of a natural phenomenon — such as where thunder comes from or why snow falls from the sky. Myths — which often include gods and goddesses and other supernatural characters who have the power to make extraordinary things happen — are popular even when people know the actual reasons for natural phenomena.
