Architects are liscensed professionals who design and plan structures that are attractive, functional and safe. They design schools, skyscrapers, hospitals, hotels, churches, and houses. Before constructing a building an architect needs to create a drawing or model for the building. The structure is then built by a construction company which follow the direction of the plans for the building. The architect will closely supervise to make sure everything is being built properly.

Architecture shouldn't be a tough job to get, you'd just have to have a determined mind to reach your goal. It'll take only about 3-5 years to get the liscence, and not much required information to know. This career definitely has a long future to it, this career is all about the future. Architects design structures to make sure they're worth lasting, if they didn't then there really wouldn't be any point in doing what they're doing.
Architecture is a demanding profession, but it can be a very creative and interesting one. This career could be tough but it just all depends on the person and whether they're determined to go through all the work of becoming an architect. Once you learn the basics and gain some experience then you can basically go to any designing point from there.
Careers that require the same type of skills are architectural technicians, landscapre architects, artists, interior designers, and building/construction inspectors.
Why this career?
Designing is something I have always been interested in ever since I was a little kid. I never really knew what it was I wanted to do, all I knew was that I wanted to be some type of designer. I watched the HGTV channel a lot, so as I got older I started showing interest in the way houses or buildings were built and designed. Next thing I knew I started sketching different types of houses and buildings. That's when I knew I really wanted to be an architect and I haven't changed my mind since then.
