2013: The year of travel and friends!

It's amazing how much fits into one year. The year was good to me. I met a lot of new people and went to many new place. In January, I went to Washington, DC to see the Presidential Inauguration and visit one of my friends who lives there. We walked about 5,000 miles that day and waited in a 3 hour line to get back on the Metro in order to get out of the city that day. It was a great experience but you would have to pay me to go again.

I visited a friend in Madison, Wi for a long weekend trip. It's really cold there but the city is great.

I graduated with my Bachelors in Marketing from Kent State. Took 5 years to do it, but I got it done.

I visited an awesome cabin in upstate New York with some friends.
One of my friend's family owns a beatiful cabin. We all took a long weekend trip there and hung out. Super relaxing weekend.

I bought myself a new toy. His name is Duke the Dream Donkey.

I went to a 5 week international business camp in Pennsylvania.
Super great experience. I learned a lot and met so many cool people from all over the world. My goal is to go on a big trip around the world and crash at many of their places.

While at the camp, I visited New York City and Washington, DC. Stayed with the same friend that I visited earlier in the year. It was also the first time I had been to New York City. Didn't spend enough time there but I'm sure I'll be back there soon.

Right after business school that I went to ended, I drove home and then got on a plane to Gulf Shores, Alabama for vacation. I slept the first day because I didn't get more than 2 or 3 hours of sleep for 3 nights straight. My whole family (mom, dad, brother, brother's girlfriend, aunt, uncle, and my girlfriend) rented a house on the beach and just chilled for a week.

On the way back from vacation, I visited a friend in Atlanta and hung out in his new apartment for the night.

Somewhere in 2013, I went camping too. Some good ole hammock camping with my girlfriend. This is one thing I wish I would have made more time for. That's what 2014 is for though.

I got a very rewarding internship at Tackk and played a lot of volleypong. Actually did some real work too.

I visited Chicago with my girlfriend, my brother, and his girlfriend, and watched the Red Bull Flug Tag. It was delayed 3 hours because of wind. This ended up not being a horrible thing though because as we stood waiting for the event to start we got to watch several people angrily defend the spots of grass that they had "claimed" against intruders.

I went on a road trip with my girlfriend where we visited family in St.Louis, went to a wedding in Denver, and visited friends in Madison, Wisconsin. It was great. It was a lot of driving to fit into just 10 days and we weren't really able to spend a lot of time in any city but definitely still a solid experience. Denver is beautiful.

Finally, I also worked on quite a few projects. I started many and finished a few. I'm always working on something, a lot of them don't get finished, but I still enjoy the process.

I hope 2014 will be as good as 2013 was!

My goal is to travel to more places this year. It's going to be hard to top but I have faith. I'm looking forward to what 2014 holds.
