Global Marches Draw Attention to Climate Change
Because the earth is warming up (Global Warming ), many people around the world including the United States decided to do something about it. So, they marched around the blocks of New York City (and many other places) to draw attention to the importance of keeping the Earth a healthy place for us to live in. Many people played the drums, some marched to the drums, some even dressed up because the people wanted to show that they are serious. Organizers said more than 100,000 marched in new york. As a result of so many people marching, "more than 120 world leaders will convene for the United Nations Climate Summit aimed at galvanizing political will for a new global climate treaty by the end of 2015."
