The Founding Father of Psychoanalysis
Sigmund Freud was an Austrian psychologist born on May 6, 1856. He pioneered studies into the unconscious mind and the role it plays in how we think and act. He is considered the greatest man in modern day psychology and is revered by psychologists everywhere. He is most famous for founding psychoanalysis (the talking cure) and his study of dreams. He died on September 23, 1939 due to cancer of the jaw.
